Australia/New Zealand/Singapore Exchange Award
Amount: will vary by program

Certain programs in Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore offer exchange awards for SUNY Oswego students. An exchange award is a scholarship which reduces the program cost significantly by eliminating overseas tuition. The overseas tuition amount will vary, but typically an exchange award is worth between $4,000-$8,000.  The actual amount per program can be view on the budget sheet on the specific program's brochure. There are multiple exchange awards available each semester and all SUNY Oswego students are strongly encouraged to apply for an exchange award.

The following programs have exchange awards available:

Auckland University of Technology (New Zealand)
Australian Catholic University
Charles Sturt University (Australia)
Edith Cowan University (Australia)
James Cook University (Australia and Singapore)
La Trobe University (Australia)
Queensland University of Technology
University of Tasmania
Please note: availability of exchange awards will vary by semester.

Eligibility Criteria
The exchange award scholarship aims to support students to study abroad in Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore by eliminating the overseas tuition cost.  While financial means and scholarship are considered in the award decision, they are not the sole factor in the decision-making process.  Students from all backgrounds, majors, and class standing are encouraged to apply.  The following criteria are required:
Be enrolled in a degree program with a declared major at SUNY Oswego;
Be eligible to study abroad for a semester program in Australia, New Zealand, or Singapore;

Contribution to Campus
Students receiving this award are expected to make a contribution toward the promotion of study abroad and international education.  The contribution is up to the student and can be as creative as they choose. Some examples of past contributions are: volunteering for the International Education Office to promote study abroad upon return, blogging about the experiences overseas, working with international students at SUNY Oswego, etc.
