This need-based scholarship was created and funded by the President/CEO of CAPA International Education, John J. Christian (Oswego, '87). This scholarship aims to offer students, who otherwise would not be able, the opportunity to study abroad. The scholarship covers all overseas expenses for one semester abroad, including CAPA program costs, housing, and London transportation pass. This scholarship does not include: SUNY tuition, overseas health insurance, additional food costs, passport, spending money, and textbooks & materials. This scholarship is offered to one Oswego student per year.

Applicants must:

 - Be currently enrolled as a full-time student at Oswego
 - Maintain a 2.5 or better cumulative grade point average
 - Document financial need

A short, online application is required for all scholarships. You must also include documentation of financial need. If you have filed for and/or received financial aid from this campus, financial aid is easily documented by a copy of your award letter, including any need that has not yet been met but still exists. If you have not applied for, or have not been granted financial aid from SUNY Oswego, you will have to provide alternative information concerning your financial circumstances. Please keep in mind that it is your responsibility to provide the information documenting financial need.

Your application must be completed (application completed and all supporting forms submitted) by the following scholarship deadline dates:

Fall Semester April 1
Spring Semester April 1

Please Note:  One (1) scholarship is given out per year.  If you are planning to study overseas for the Spring, you must apply for your scholarship by April 1st.
