It was mainly due to its salubrious climate, educational institutions and the hospitable people. It was known as the Garden City or the Pensioners' paradise. Past few decades, the IT has made it the world capital for software Engineers. Today, after the advent of Information Technology, Bangalore is known as the Silicon city. It is an International City which India is proud of. The whole world rotates around Bangalore.
Indian Institute of Science (IISC) Bangalore
IISC is one of the foremost research institutions in the world. Students on this program will work in the molecular biology lab of Prof. R. Varadarajan on cutting edge research problems. Students will engage in hands on research in Prof. Varadarajan's lab. Students will earn 3 to 6 credits.
Housing and Meals
Students will be placed in available housing either on-campus or near the Institute. Information about meal options, local transportation, and other adjustment activities will be provided by the faculty advisors and program specialist.
Scholarships of $2500 each for two students are available.
