Florence, the Renaissance city. A city renowned for its magnificent architecture, world-class art museums, and flair for creating the latest trends in fashion. Florence offers students a unique learning environment where the entire city center feels like a museum.
The Study Center
The CAPA Florence Center is housed in the Palazzo Gallitassi. The Palazzo dates from the 1400s and was once owned by Filippo Valori, rector of the University of Pisa and close friend of Lorenzo de Medici. The Palazzo is located in the Santa Croce area in the center of the traditional artisans' quarter. It is here that you will find distinctive neighborhood shops and restoration work. The Center has equipped classrooms, a faculty office, a computer lab and resource room, a student lounge, wireless internet access and local library access. The Center is well served by public transportation, including several bus routes, providing easy access to all parts of the city.
Courses include Italian language at all levels, studio art, art history, literature, and business. A full listing of CAPA's current course offerings can be found at the CAPA Florence website. Once there, click on Academics.
